It’d been just two days since we moved into our new home, and dad had been quite busy staking out the new nooks and crannies. He’d found several tunnels and some main holes that would be helpful in securing food and different resources. We set up camp in the floor underneath the wall that separated the study from the bedroom.

It was the year 3012, and young Garth Welkin was doing an assignment for his 8th grade history class:
